  • Based on Artificial intelligence(Al) and Computer Aided Design(CAD),a knowledge-based system on Computer Aided Process Planning(CAPP) of forging technology by LISP programming language has been developped.The empirical knowledge of forging process planning is described with productions.The reasoning of heuristics is backward chainning.The fact that calculated effects by computer are in good argeement with practice confirms that the research is successful.
