  • The data of energy and energy consumed materials on the procedures of sintering, iron-making in BF, steel-making and steel-rolling in Xingcheng Special Steel were collected, dealt with and analyzed. The en-ergy consumption and the electric power consumption per ton of products every procedure were calculated and converted into per ton of steel in the whole process. It showed that the yield of Xingcheng Special Steel increased from 791.8 thousand tons in 2002 to 916 million tons in 2004, which increased 15.69%. And the electric power consumption of EAF decreased from 340.20 to 166.30 kW·h·t-1, which is 51.12% less. And the energy consump-tion per ton of steel in the whole process increased from 289.51 to 615.44 kgce·t-1, which is 112.58% more.
