  • The microstructure of the exploded graphites in cast iron were investigated by using Transmission Electron Microscope and Scanning Electron Microscope. Experimen-tal results show that the exploded graphite is the process in which the growth of the graphite increased. So it does not result from poor nodulizing during the melting of cast iron, but is a kind of graphite with excess nodulizing.
