Application and practice of TPC technology in the production of 50t EAF

  • The application condition of TPC (Terminal Process Control) technology in the operation of 50 t EAF were introduced. Through adoption of TPC problems such as steel sticking with water cooled furnace cover were solved, and the hit ratio of predicting both of terminal composition and temperature of the steel increased from 67% to 91%. Additionally, several indicators were greatly improved, for example, the time of electricity supply was shortened by 6 min/furnace, electric consumption was reduced by 58 kW·h·t-1, and electrode con-sumption was reduced by 0.30 kW·h·t-1.
