Abstract

Abstract

The buildings settlement nearing a official building foundation pit in Jiangsu province of China was calculated. The calculated results were compared with the measured ones, and the reasons for their difference were pointed out. The factors influencing the buildings settlement nearing a foundation pit were summarized and their effects on the settlement were discussed in detail by analyzing the measured settlement values.
