The effect of Si reduction and re-oxidation behavior during the smelting reduction process is experimental studied. It shows that the quantity of SiO developed varies with the temperature and coal com-position. By means of the coal selecting and the gun adjusting, the detrimental influence of the SiO2 reduction and re-oxidation behavior on smelting reduction operation may be alleviated.
