Computer Simulation on Modern High Speed Strip Mills

  • This paper discusses the design of the two principle hydraulic actuators in rolling mills:capsules for hydraulic Automatic Gauge Control(AGC) and roll bending systems for shape and profile control. The main emphasis is on the modelling and computer simulations to the rolling process. The basis of these models is presented together with some results from the simulations. These results compare well with data from test measurements.
