Study on Limit-Current Oxygen Sensor Using Zirconia Electrolyte

  • The equations describing the limit current in the normal diffusion region or knudsen diffusion region are estabished from the viewpoint of thermodynamics and kinetics. The factors, which influence the limit current in above regions, that is, oxygen concentration, temperature, gas diffusion coeffience, pressure, and geometric parameters (area and length) of the diffusion hole are theoretically considered. The response time equation of the sensor is formulated as well.
