Abstract: Based on the compositions of refining slag of Maanshan Iron & Steel Corporation and using orthogonal test, investigation on foaming behavior of arc covering slag is carried out. The optimized arc-covering slag composition has been obtained, which has the best foaming property.
Abstract: Based on the main physico-chemical properties of Na3AlF6-AlF3-CaF2-LiF-Al2O3 system studied, including liquidus temperature、electrical conductivity and bath density, a laboratory scale vertical discharging aluminum type electrolysis cell of about 100A capacity was run with TiB2 cathodes and low molar ratio(1.5~2.0) electrolytes at 800~930℃ range. Aluminum metal was obtained with 84.6%~88.3% current efficiencies and 11.54~11.83 kW·h/kg specific energy consumption.
Abstract: The microstructure of the carbon-containing pellet of manganese-containing iron ore after direct reduction has been studied. On the basis of the microstructure, two kinds of magnetic separation experiments were conducted:the wet and the dry. The result shows:The dry magnetic separation is suitable to concentrate iron. The best iron grade of the magnetic concentrate could reach 82%; The wet magnetic separation is suitable to concentrate manganese. The quality of the nonmagnetic concentrate could meet the requirement of metallurgy industry.
Abstract: Redox capacity of CeO2 coating TiO2 is discussed.It is showed that CeO2 is easy to be reduced and can be re-oxidized while expoursing O2.Due to Ti4+ mixed in the CeO2 lattice, the activation energy decrease, which attributed to oxygen vacancy migration.
Abstract: Based on the vorticity and stream function equations with finite-element method, a mathematical model was developed to describe molten alloy flow in mold with two pairs of poles. The results from above model show there are four vortexes in mold with the present experimental condition. The faster the casting speed, the stronger the vortex intensity and nearer the divided flow point to the wall of mold, which deteriorates the erosion of the initial shell near narrow wall of mold. The erosion of initial shell will be weakened effectively with imposing of the two pairs of magnetic poles. The stronger the magnetic density and the better the braking effect. The two pairs of magnetic poles can make the velocity decrease and the vortex intensity weaken in the upper field of mold and stabilizes the meniscus fluctuation.
Abstract: On the bases of developing technology of high speed continuous casting, this paper analyzed the process of ladle transporting in converter plant of Guangzhou iron & Steel Co. Ltd.was analyzed, and time factor of ladle cycling in mathematics was described. A new conception of flexible time was set forth, and a kind of method on quantity of ladle calculating was provided. Meanwhile, by studied optimization of ladle transporting in the production route thoroughly, physical model of ladle cycling was established.

Abstract: The effect of hot-working parameters on the ferrite grain refinement and Precipitation behavior of KQ450 steel during different controlled rolling have been investigated by means of quantitative metallography, SEM, TEM and X-ray small angle scatter analysis.The results show that heating temperature is susceptible to the ferrite grain size of KQ450 steel; the precipitated phases are NbC, VC and V(CN); With increasing cooling rate the average size of the precipitated phases decrease.
Abstract: Microstructure, properties and boron distribution of HAZ in an ultra-low carbon bainitic steel bearing Cu-Nb-B were investigated. Results indicated that excellent low temperance toughness could be obtained the HAZ. The influence of cooling time (t85) from 800 to 500℃ on bainitic morphology and the effect of microstructure on low temperature toughness were discussed. When cooled at medium rate, a part of granular bainite forms at higher temperature and then the most pan of austenite transforms into a finer lath bainite forms at lower temperature, this microstructure has better low temperature toughness.
Abstract: The effects of substrate temperature on the growth rate and quality of diamond films by DC arc plasma jet method were studied. It was found that the growth rate and crystallinity of diamond films increased monotonically with the increase of substrate temperature. However, when the substrate temperature increased from 800℃ to 1200℃, the content of non-diamond carbon co-deposited in the diamond films decreased first, and then increased rapidly after reaching a minimum at 1000~1 100℃.
Abstract: The relationship model of concentration of flux solution, temperature of liquid aluminium, temperature of tools, pressure and intermetallic layer thickness under steel-aluminum solid to liquid bonding was established by means of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN)perfectly. The optimum thickness whose value was 10.0 μm had been determined according to the bonding parameter values for the optimum shearing strength.
Abstract: The structure and hardness of infinitely chilled ductile cast iron roller after heat treatment under different temperatures were compared and the cast stress of the alloy during solidification and cooing was determined.Based on these experiment results, the temperature for annealing heat treatment to eliminate cast stress is around 400℃.
Abstract: Based on the experiments with MTS material testing machine, the characters of the deformation and technology in drawing flux-cored welding wires through conventional dies and roller dies have been analyzed. Experiment data about deformation parameters, force and engrgy parameters, powder flow, lubricating, et al. is obtained.Good foring ability and deformation distribution which decreases drawing force are proposed in roller dies drawing.
Abstract: The fretting corrosion performance of 1Cr13 stainless steel in NaCI solution at different cathodic protection potenrials was studied by means of the fretting corrosion measurement and the test system.Fretting makes corrosion potential shift fast to stable value when cathodic protection is absent mass loss of fretting corrosion gradually decreases with cathodic protection protential's moving negatively, reaching the mininum at potential of -670 mV(SCE):then, mass loss gradually increases when cathodic protection potential's goes on moving negatively.Mass loss of fretting corrosion at protection potential of-850 mV(SCE) surpasses that without cathodic protection.
Abstract: The method of establishing mathematical model for roll pass design in the light rail CARD system was studied. A great deal of on-site data was collected and analyzed. Based on the method of regression, rail pass design model was established. This model had been used in a light rail CARD system successfully.The method provides a solution for establishing the mathematical models used in complex section CARD system.
Abstract: The deformation characteristics are complicated in 3-roll rolling process. The deformation of the workpiece in round-flat pass was simulated with the general FEM software package ANSYS, on the basis of the elastic-plastic deformation theory. The Newton-Raphson method is used to the actual nonlinear result.In order to verify the finite element simulation, the same deformation process was experimentally investigated with the visual-plasticity approach. In the experiment the digital control technology and the laser marking system were used to make the grids, the microscope to enlarge the grids and the computer image analysis system to read the original data automatically. The FEM results agree with the experiment well.
Abstract: The influences of three instrumental parameters of ICP-MS spectrometer(radio frequencey power, nebulization gas flowrate and ion lens voltage) on signal intensity and productivity of a few kinds of ions formed from 15 rare earth elements in the plasma(single element ions RE+, oxide ions REO+, hydroxide ions REOH+ and hydride ions REH+) have been investigated. The relationship betWeen the productivity rate of these ions and properties of relevant RE element has been explored. The results use for selecting instrumental parameters for determination of 14 trace rare earth impurities in high-purity single rare earth samples by ICPMS.
Abstract: A analytical synthesis method of four-bar linkage in the special configtiration, in which the coupler curve has a five-point contact with its tangent (Burmesters point), is presented. With this method, the point which is on the expecting straight-line, the direction of the line and one frame point, can be given beforehand. Some synthesizing formulae are derived and three synthesizing examples are given. The results have proved that the formulae are correct.
Abstract: An analytic method for the synthesis of crank and rocker straight-line linkages in a special configuration was presented. With this method, it is convenient to synthesize the crank and rocker straight-line linkage, which coupler curve has a 4-point contact with its tangent (so called Ball's point). The formulae are derived and synthesis examples are illustrated.
Abstract: A computer simulation for evolution of random structures of spherical particles in two dimensions has been performed by the distinct element method. The forces among the particles considered were gravity, friction force and Van Der Waals Interaction(VDWI). The motion of particles involved translation and rotation. For 100 μm particles, if friction and VDWI were not considered, the packing assembly was a mixture of random packing and order packing with packing density of 0.869 6, if friction and VDWI were taken into account, the packing density was 0.821 3. To study the procedure of packing, packing densities with different time, particle trajectory and coordination number were examined. The packing structures of binary system with different conditions were also given.

Abstract: Image Database (IDB) is a combination of the traditional database and the image processing techniques. An intelligent retrieval method of image database, which is guided by artificial intelligence, is presented. Pattern recognition and image processing techniques, heuristic knowledge are all taken into consideration in this method. This method uses an image feature vector to represent an image and builds a retrieval tree of the image base through clustering to seek the optimal image with best-first search for users on it. How to obtain a heuristic evaluation function by using expert's experience and sample training is focused on. These conditions for the existence of evaluation function is presented as well.

Abstract: Amid at AGC-AFC, a multivariable fuzzy predictive control based on genetic algorithm is proposed. Fuzzy model of multivariable system is founded by means of fuzzy prediction. A new algorithm for parameter identification is given. And genetic algorithm is used to obtain the optimun control law.The simulation result shows that this method has good effectiveness.
Abstract: The architecture and algorithm of a kind of dynamical neural network, Elman recurrent neural network (RNN)were dicussed. Based on this network, an approach of modeling for nonlinear time-varying industrial object, direct current arc, was proposed. Compared with other modeling method for the object, the model based on RNN is proved to have better performance.

Abstract: It is known that the traditional optimal theory has limitations on the ability of descriptions, the method of modeling, the realization of the method and the analysis of the model data. The concept and the method of generalized optimization based on knowledge are presented.They include the concept of knowledge in generalized optimization, the descriptions of the optimal problem and the general procedure of the generalized optimization.The main method composes of four steps:the knowledge modeling of the optimal problem, the founding of the generalized optimization algorithm, the reduction of the knowledge system and the construction of the decision rule.In order to illustrate the efficiency of the method, an application in the optimizing boiler combustion is given.
