Preparation of TiC/Ni Functionally Gradient Materials by SHS-Pressing

摘要: 采用SHS-加壓法制TiC/Ni梯度材料。在TiC-Ni的燃燒燒結過程中,C溶入Ti-Ni溶液中,TiC從其中析出,TiC-Ni通過在壓力下的液相燒結形成TiC/Ni梯度材料。TiC晶粒尺寸隨Ni量的增加而變小是由于Ni稀釋劑降低了燃燒溫度。TiC外形隨Ni量的減少由球形變為多邊形,多邊形晶粒的形成是液相燒結時組織調整的結果。Abstract: A SHS-Pressing method was developed to form dense TiC/Ni functionally gradient material.The mechanisms of combustion synthesis-densification in Ti-C-Ni systems were studied.It is proposed that carbon is dissolved into Ti-Ni melt;TiC is presipitated from the melt;The dense TiC/Ni FGM is formed by liquid phase sintering under pressure.The grain size of TiC decreases with increasing content of Ni because of reduction of combustion temperature. Grain shape of TiC varies with the content of Ni.The morphology of TiC grains changes from polyhedra to spherical shape by accommodation process when the quantity of Ni melt increases.
