Influence of Residual Stresses on Thermal Shock Resistance for Cold Mill Working Rolls

摘要: 利用Gleeble-1500型熱模擬機,研究了不同預加壓應力和加熱溫度對溫度——應力曲線的影響。結果表明:在相變點以下加熱時,預加壓應力越大,加熱和冷卻后的拉應力越小,這說明殘余壓應力有抵抗熱沖擊開裂的能力。Abstract: An investigate with thermal simulator of Gleeble-1 500 model was worked out. A series of temperature-stresses curves was obtained in which different pre-compressive stress and temperature was applied. The result show: in the temperature range below the phase transformation temperature, the higher the pre-compressive stresses, the lower the tensile stresses after heat and cold. These demonstrate that the residual compressive stresses be able to resist cracking caused by thermal shock.
